The next fly in the series is the Peacock and Partridge.  It's a soft hackle wet fly that will allow you to add two more techniques to your arsenal of tying skills:


1.  How to create a peacock herl body


2.  How to apply a collar hackle

 

Peacock herl is a wonderfully alluring material that is commonly used in many different flies.  Due to its rather brittle nature, however, there are some special considerations to keep in mind when tying with it.  These will be presented and explained in this segment.
